Chianti

Chianti is my favorite wine as it comes from the specific place "Chianti" in Italy and pairs very well with pasta dishes. I love to try new dishes and different bottles of Chianti to see how they pair and complement each other and differ from other types of medium bodied red wines.

Chianti by Ruffino - tasted somewhat cherry and spicy in the after taste. This is my go-to Chianti that I usually eat with stuffed shells or linguine and Italian sausage. The bottle says it would pair well with pizza so maybe I'll try that soon.

Chianti Classico Castellani - a new Chianti as I usually grab the Ruffino, but this was on sale, so I gave it a try. This one has more spice and pepper on the nose, with cherry and something that tastes like blackberry in the aftertaste.
